IFK Österåker FK was one of 80 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Boys & Girls Spring Cup 2016. They participated with three teams in P05-Lätt/Medel and F05 respectively. The team in P05-Lätt/Medel made it to the the Final in A Slutspel, but lost it against AIK FF P06:U by 1-4.

In addition to this, IFK Österåker FK have participated in Boys & Girls Spring Cup before. During Boys & Girls Spring Cup 2015, IFK Österåker FK had three teams playing in P05-Lätt, P05-Svår and F05 respectively. The team in F05 made it to the the Semi final in A-Slutspel, but lost it against Vallentuna BK DF:Röd by 0-3.

IFK Österåker FK comes from Åkersberga which lies approximately 15 km from Djursholm, where Boys & Girls Spring Cup takes place. The area around Åkersberga does also provide 73 additional clubs participating during Boys & Girls Spring Cup 2016 (Among others: Saltsjö-Boo IF, Vasalunds IF, Vallentuna BK, FC Djursholm, Jarlabergs IF, IF Brommapojkarna, IFK Stocksund 1, IFK Aspudden-Tellus, Mälarhöjdens IK and FC Järfälla).
